Alchemical Antivenom

There comes a point in life when nothing else, especially material things, can satisfy an individual. There is this elusive something one feels that if only he or she can grasp it, profound happiness and fulfillment might be attained. What is this unnameable urge that has spurred man through untold millennia? What is the ultimate meaning of existence?

It isn’t money

We all know in principle that money isn’t the root of happiness, and yet we still act as if we don’t. It is well to remind ourselves that some of the richest people on earth are the saddest. They eventually found that after they obtained a lot of money, this did not give them true joy. Instead, the possession of wealth is accompanied by a frantic anxiety and fear of not losing it. Worst of all, greed has even crept into their hearts. Their insecurity grew worse. The more…

What is Humility?

Humility (adjectival formhumble) is the quality of being modest and respectful. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions, being connected with notions of transcendent unity with the universe or the divine, and of egolessness

Humility leads to strength and not to weakness. It is the highest form of self-respect to admit mistakes and to make amends for them- John (Jay) McCloy

The Law Of Humility: Whatever one resists, persists in their life. Resistance feeds too much energy into unwanted things. Instead of being active, often it is important to be inactive. Clarity comes when light is allow to come in and shine. Slowing down and ignoring what one does not desire in their life is so much more effective in clearing away the unwanted. Since one is not resisting, life carries on with ease…

Bliss Returned

Life is full of blissful opportunities that give us a fair chance to get better each and everyday. I know you may be saying ‘yeah right’. Just wait, I’m sure you’ll agree with me after you hear a little more. Trust me, its not the easiest task to get into a routine for most people, i get that. I know all about the challenges that come with having to choose to do what most of us want to do but most people want the structure and benefits of a routine only without doing the work on the front end.

There always has and will be a simple way to do almost everything. Now one key to getting into an assassin proof routine is to first INTEND IT! I’ll say it again, its easy to create a routine, but you have to do some prep work to put it together first…

Live & Learn

I don’t believe that I’ve read a better self-help post in the past year.  Tony Schwartz turned 60 and these are his reflections.  He is the author of Be Excellent at Anything.   This post is from the HBR Network and it’s titled: Turning 60: The Twelve Most Important Lessons I’ve Learned So Far.  I find his insights remarkable…

  • Humility is underrated…deepening self-awareness is essential to freeing ourselves from reactive habitual behaviors…
  • “Notice the good – we carry an evolutionary disposition to dwell on on what’s wrong – take time each day to notice what right and to feel grateful
  • “Never seek your value at the expense of others…devaluing the person will only prompt more of the same in return”
  • “Slow down. Speed is the enemy of nearly everything in life that really matters. It’s addictive and it undermines quality, compassion, depth, creativity, appreciation and real relationship.”

Bliss Returned

With the year 2012 in full swing you’re sure to feel some changes within you. More than ever people are making life changing decisions. The reason for the take -action -now- movement  is probably because 2012 is the year of the Dragon the year of expansion, change and inner transformation. You may have seen dragons at work in movies but not this lifetime. From what you can see on film from you comfortable seat in front of the movie or tv screen, I’m sure you’ll agree that dragons are dynamic in their movement. So being that this is the year of the dragon in chinese astrology anyway, this year is fast-moving and full of fire.

Most people are experiencing changes both within themselves, also in their environments too. Last year was the year of the rabbit. Reflect back to last year to see what the energy was last year…
